New Waste Transfer Station readies to open

John Gunner & Co Ltd are pleased to announce that our new Waste Transfer Station is nearing completion and will open in the middle of April 2011.

As a licensed carrier of waste, John Gunner & Co Ltd will also be adding Skip Hire to our list of services. Complementing our established Topsoil, Compost, Bark & Aggregate business our waste transfer station will allow us to provide our clients a true 360 degree service - from clearing demolition waste through to delivery of high grade topsoil's, compost's, aggregates or bark for landscaping.

John Gunner & Co. Ltd are undertaking the companies largest ever expansion project since the company was founded in 1907.

Planning permission has been received to build new waste transfer station. Part of the permission includes new roadways, and nearly 2000 square meters of concrete hard standing that will contain a sealed drainage system for the new waste transfer station and its recycling plant. The expansion is a significant investment into the Guildford/Worlpesdon community, providing jobs during construction and 8-10 permanent new jobs  on completion. Over one million pounds will be invested into the new facility which also includes a new weigh bridge and associated offices. When complete the waste transfer station will inaffect supply a system capapble of sorting upto 140 skips per/day.

Work started Monday 19th September with completion expected Wednesday 1st December 2010.
